Video consults for quick questions
Two licenses, one crew
Most electricians won’t touch solar, and most solar companies won’t fix an outlet. Omar holds both California licenses, so the panel upgrade, the EV charger and the inverter swap are the same phone call.
That matters most where the two meet: sizing a panel for solar, adding a charger to a solar home, or getting an old system running again.
Electrical contractor
Wiring, panels, circuits, lighting, EV chargers and electrical equipment, in homes and commercial buildings.
Solar contractor
Designing, installing, repairing and servicing solar energy systems, on the roof and at the inverter.
Two quick checks before you call
Answer a few questions and send the result with your request, so we show up knowing what you have.
Solar stopped working? Your installer doesn’t need to still be around.
A lot of East County systems are now past their inverter warranty, and plenty of the companies that sold them have closed. The panels usually still have years left. Most of the time the fix is one part, found with the right meter.
We troubleshoot and repair systems whoever installed them, and we can take the array off and put it back when you replace the roof.

What customers say
4 reviews on Thumbtack
“Late on a Friday afternoon, I asked if they could come and check out an outlet for safety reasons. With no hesitation, they came out within the hour and switched out the necessary parts.”
Jennifer R., Outlet check, same hour. Thumbtack, Dec 2023 “Omar team came on Tuesday to give us an estimate for some recessed lights in our living and kitchen areas. Came that Friday and installed everything! Both rooms look great!”
Stephany M., Recessed lights. Thumbtack, Dec 2023 “They did a great job in putting up plastic sheeting covers & floor covers during the prep. They removed the old fluorescent light bulbs in the kitchen which were hideous. Their install work is of high quality.”

All service areasQuestions people ask
Do you work on solar systems another company installed?
Yes. Troubleshooting, inverter swaps, monitoring fixes and repairs don’t depend on who put the system in. If your installer has gone out of business, we can still diagnose it and fix it.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Omar Electric and Solar Inc. holds California contractor license #1107535 with two classifications, C-10 Electrical and C-46 Solar. It’s active and bonded. Check it on the CSLB website.
Can my panel handle an EV charger?
Often, especially a 200 amp panel. Older 100 amp panels may need an upgrade or a load-management device that slows the charger when other big loads run. The panel check above gives a rough answer, and a load calculation confirms it.
Do you take emergency calls?
Yes, emergency service is part of what we do. Call or text (619) 748-7160 and tell us what’s happening. If you see smoke or flames, or a power line is down, call 911 first.
Can you take my solar panels off for a new roof?
Yes. We disconnect and remove the array, your roofer does the roof, then we reinstall, reconnect and test the system. Book us when you book the roofer so the dates line up.
Do you work on businesses?
Yes. We do residential, commercial and industrial electrical and solar work.
Can you look at it over video first?
Yes. For a lot of problems, a short video call is enough to tell what’s going on and whether it needs a visit.
How can I pay?
Cash, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, PayPal or Cash App.
